Secret Service DOES maintain records of visitors to President Biden’s Wilmington house – conducting background checks which generate electronic records that are NEVER expunged
- The White House said this week that they do not keep logs of visitors to Biden’s home because it is a ‘personal residence’
- But DailyMail.com can reveal that the Secret Service maintains records of visitors to the homes of all presidents and former presidents
- Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi conceded that the Secret Service DOES in fact maintain records of visitors in an interview with DailyMail.com
Ronald Kessler, a former Washington Post and Wall Street Journal investigative reporter, is the New York Times bestselling author of 21 books, including ‘The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of the Presidents’
Both the White House and Secret Service told reporters tracking President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents at his Wilmington residence that they do not keep records of visitors to his home because it is a personal residence.
‘Like every president in decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal,’ the White House Counsel’s Office said Monday.
Likewise, Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said the agency does not track people who visit a president’s personal home, because it is a ‘private residence’.
That is misleading at best.

In an interview, Guglielmi acknowledged that, before anyone visits the home of Biden or any other former president, the Secret Service conducts a background check that generates electronic records on the visit and the results of the background check.
Those records are never expunged.
Guglielmi told DailyMail.com he never intended to mislead. When asked for comment by reporters, he said he explained how guests and workers who enter the homes of Biden and other former presidents are screened.
While logs recording visits are not kept as they are at the White House, electronic records are generated and retained, but the reporters tended to leave out the full story, he said.

As at Biden’s home, anyone who visits former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home or enters its grounds must first provide details of his or her identity so a background check can be conducted. The check is part of what is called Access Control Procedure.
And on Friday, Fox News revealed that the Secret Service is prepared to hand over names of Biden’s Wilmington visitors, if requested by Congress.
‘When a visitor is to come to Biden’s home in Wilmington, his staff notifies the Secret Service and provides details on the visitor’s identity,’ says Norm Jarvis, a former Secret Service agent.
‘An electronic check is conducted to uncover any criminal records, warrants for arrests, or contact with a foreign intelligence service. The electronic records on the background check and the visit are never expunged.’
